MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

33 Collective Gallery is an artist run Chicago art gallery. Since December of 2004, we have been organizing a variety of monthly exhibitions without interruptions. During our first two years, 33 Collective Gallery proudly exhibited the work of over 200 different artists from Chicago and abroad. Our mission has been to provide exhibition opportunities to dedicated emerging and established artists. 33 Collective Gallery embraces culturally diverse perspectives and supports innovative and experimental media. As the gallery looks ahead towards the future, we have decided to open membership opportunities to a select group of dedicated artists.

33 Collective Gallery is located in the Zhou B Art Center in Bridgeport, one mile west of US Cellular Field. 33 Collective Gallery draws local, national and international visitors due in part to our promotional efforts and the increasing media attention to Bridgeport “Community of the Future” and the Zhou B Art Center. The Zhou B Art Center has been featured in numerous media venues including the New York Times, Chicago Tribune, NPR Radio, Channel 11, and the Sun Times. As a member you will have benefits as well as responsibilities in a small environment of professional artists.

Member Benefits
• Participation in two annual member shows plus other themed exhibitions organized by the gallery.
• Permanent gallery exhibition area for members. Gallery members will be able to exhibit one to two works in a dedicated
space for members only (size limitations apply). Members may change their work on a monthly basis.
• There is a 15% sales commission from the sale of member’s work.
• Online gallery of work (artist’s maintained). Members will have their own online gallery at www.33collective.com.
Members will have 24/7 access to update their artwork online.
• One member will be featured each month in our online newsletter.
• Artists may also have matted prints, or small works for sale in our gift shop.

Member Responsibilities
• Members will be required to assist in setting up the two annual members exhibitions.
• Members will be asked to participate by donating one piece of art for the Annual Fundraising of 33 Collective Gallery.
• Membership Fee: $55.00 per month. This will be a six-month agreement renewable upon gallery approval. Gallery reserves the right to terminate the membership of any member without previous notice. Members who decide to cancel their membership will not be obligated to pay the remaining months from the day the cancelation has been accepted.

33 Collective Gallery reserves the right to accept or deny artist’s membership applications.

FAQ:
Do I need to know web design in order to maintain my member online gallery?
No at all. Artists will be able to quickly add and delete images to their online gallery through our newly adopted web gallery system.

Can members suggest or submit gallery exhibitions?
Absolutely, 33 Collective management is open to ideas and suggestions on future gallery exhibitions.

Why does the gallery offer only two members shows instead of solo exhibitions for its members?
In order to provide more variety of shows, members will not hold solo exhibitions. However, throughout the year members will have opportunities to exhibit in different collective and themed shows. Additionally, the members will always be represented in the designated Members Area of the gallery.

Will I get storage or studio space?
No, we do not provide studio or gallery space.
